Work is underway on a brand new campus for the Kitchen in Springfield.
Director of development Kippie Kutz says the Kitchen has raised about 97-percent of the $4-million dollars needed to build a new shelter and office space at Glenstone and Chestnut.
Construction started in June on the shelter.
Crews are building 15 apartments.
14 of the apartments will be for families, individuals, and veterans.
There will also be an apartment for respite care -- for people who've been released from the hospital but don't have a place to stay.
You can give money to buy commemorative bricks with a name or logo on it.
To give, go to the Kitchen's website.
