A former prosecutor is the new president of the Springfield R-12 School Board.
Jill Patterson was elected by fellow board members at Tuesday's meeting.
For the last two years, Patterson has served in the role of vice president, working with Denise Frederick during her presidency in 2016 and with Gerry Lee this past year.
Patterson's current term expires in 2021.
Patterson is employed by Missouri State University as Title IX Coordinator, and served as an assistant prosecutor for more than 15 years.
Tim Rosenbury has been elected vice president. He's an architect and managing partner at Butler, Rosenbury and Partners, where he's worked for the past 33 years.
Rosenbury also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Drury University's Hammons School of Architecture.
