Douglas County Sheriff's Office Still Looking For Man With Active Warrant

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for a man from Ava who has an active warrant for first degree assault and armed criminal action.

Deputies say Dustin Huff was involved in a domestic assault over the weekend and is considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen in the A Highway area in Douglas County.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is still looking for Dustin Huff age 43 of Ava, who now has an active Capias no bond warrant for his arrest for Domestic Assault 1st Degree involving serious physical injury, Armed Criminal Action, Kidnapping inflicting injury/terrorizing and Unlawful use of a weapon all Felony charges all stemming from a domestic assault that occurred on June 30, 2018. Huff has armed and on the run since the time of the incident.

Huff was last seen in the A Highway area of Douglas County on foot and armed with a .22 rifle. Huff should be considered armed and dangerous and if seen do not attempt to apprehend but rather call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 417-683-1020.

Huff has stopped at residences to ask for assistance and I would like to remind everyone that anyone who harbors, conceals a person or warns a person they are about to be apprehend or provides money, transportation, weapons, disguises or other means of assistance to a person that has committed an offense has committed the offense of Hindering Prosecution and will be arrested.
