More than a dozen trucks from Springfield-based Convoy of Hope leave for North Carolina Thursday to help victims of Hurricane Florence.
Spokesman Jeff Nene says disaster teams are prepared to be there for a while.
"We're going in preparing for the worst, but praying for the best," says Nene.
Teams plan to stage in the area until they find out where they’re needed.
The trucks are hauling food, water, and other relief supplies.
