Board Of Alderman In Branson Pass Seat Belt Ordinance

The Board of Alderman in Branson voted in favor of a seat belt ordinance, making it a primary violation.

This means if you’re in the city, you can get pulled over for not being buckled up.

Branson Mayor, Karen Best, broke the tie with a yes vote.

The ordinance goes in effect May 1st.

Under Missouri state law, you can’t be pulled over specifically for not wearing a seat belt.
