(KTTS News) — The 5-year-old boy who was hit by a semi on I-44 in Waynesville this week has critical injuries.
But doctors don’t think his injuries are life-threatening.
The Highway Patrol says the boy was hurt when he wandered onto I-44 at the 157 mile marker.
He was hit by a semi.
The child was found unconscious and airlifted to a hospital.
Troopers say the boy’s family lives near the interstate.
