Narcan, a nasal spray used to temporarily reverse the effects of opioids, is now available for free in Stone and Taney Counties.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services partnered with the Skaggs foundation to give out the spray.
It is easily administered and safe to use on children and adults suspected of overdose. In 2019, there were 1,094 opioid related overdoses in Missouri.
