A toddler has been reunited with their family after the car they were in was stolen.
Wednesday night, the mother of the child says she had left the 3-year-old in the car for a moment to get her 2-week old infant out of a house near Chestnut Expressway and Glenstone.
When she came back, the car was gone.
Springfield Police found the missing car with the child still in the backseat. The suspect in the car theft says he had no idea there was a child in the backseat of the car.
He has been arrested.
