National Baseball Hall of Fame member and Kansas City Royals great George Brett will headline Missouri State baseball’s Step Up to the Plate event, presented by Loren Cook Company, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4, at Old Glass Place (521 E St. Louis St.) in Springfield.

Bears supporters and baseball fans alike will have the chance to be a part of the sixth edition of the Bears’ fundraising dinner, which will also include live and silent auctions. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. and a program featuring a Q&A with one of MLB’s all-time greatest hitters to follow. A cash bar will also be available.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Missouri State baseball program. Advance tickets are available at three pricing tiers:

• $1,200/table – Seated in center section (tables of 10)
• $900/table – Seated in side section (tables of 8)
• $800/table – Seated furthest from stage (tables of 8)

All attendees will have the opportunity to be in a group photo with Brett, however he will not sign autographs at the event.

Individual tickets may also be purchased for $100. No walk-up or day-of-event sales will be available.
