(KTTS News) — Springfield Police say a pedestrian who was run over by an SUV Tuesday night has died.
86-year-old Jerry Wickware left The Dive Bar on East Division and passed out behind the vehicle.
The driver didn’t see him before hitting him.

On Dec. 12, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to 2826 E. Division regarding a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
Scott Hall, 67, from Rogersville, was backing out of a parking space in a gray 2013 Ford Escape when he hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, 86-year-old Jerry Wickware, from Springfield, was trapped under the vehicle and extricated by the Springfield Fire Department.
Wickware was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Dec. 14, 2023, Wickware died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Wickware’s family has been notified.
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
This was Springfield’s 28th fatal motor vehicle crash in 2023.
