(KTTS News) — The National Weather Service says drought conditions have gotten worse in Central and Southwest Missouri, while improving in the Bootheel and east central parts of the state.

The Weather Service’s latest drought statement shows extreme conditions in Camden and parts of Polk and Cedar counties.

Severe drought conditions are still present in northern Laclede, northern Polk, Jasper County, northwest Lawrence and northern Newton counties.

The report says the Ozarks will have above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation over the next couple of weeks.
