(KTTS News) — One person ended up with minor injuries Thursday after another incident involving the train at Silver Dollar City.

Two cars separated after the front wheels on one of the cars left the track by a couple of inches.

Silver Dollar City officials say new safety protocols stopped the train, keeping it upright.

The train completely derailed in October, leaving six people hurt.

It reopened for the 2023 season.

Press Release from Silver Dollar City

New safety protocols worked as designed, stopping the train safely and slowly with all cars remaining upright.

All passengers were unloaded from the train and returned to the park. One passenger reported a possible minor injury but declined outside medical care. The train will remain closed until further notice.
