(KTTS News) — The Humane Society of Missouri says 41 dogs have been rescued from Newton County.
They were being kept in inhumane conditions on property near Joplin.
Many of the dogs were filthy and one was limping after reportedly being hit by a car.
The dogs were taken to the Humane Society in South City where they will be evaluated.
They’ll be put up for adoption after they have been rehabilitated.
