(KTTS News) — Governor Parson will name the state’s next attorney general this morning.
Parson must replace Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who won election to the U.S. Senate earlier this month.
It’s not the first time Parson has named a new attorney general.
In 2018, Parson made Schmitt the new attorney general after Josh Hawley won election to the US Senate.
Parson will soon have to name a new state treasurer after Treasurer Scott Fitzgerald was elected state auditor.
