(KTTS News) — We won’t reach 100 degrees today, but the heat index will make it feel that hot.

Springfield hit 102 degrees on Sunday.

That’s the sixth day in the row with a high of 100 degrees or more.

It broke the old record set back in 1980.

Some places north and east of Springfield got some rain overnight.

A cold front is expected by Thursday with showers and storms likely and highs around 90.
