Springfield hit 102 degrees on Sunday.
That’s the sixth day in the row with a high of 100 degrees or more.
It broke the old record set back in 1980.

Some places north and east of Springfield got some rain overnight.
A cold front is expected by Thursday with showers and storms likely and highs around 90.
