(KTTS News) — Springfield City Council is considering a request to rezone land at Sunshine and Jefferson.
Some neighbors are worried about an increase in traffic if 7 Brew, a drive-thru coffee shop, goes in next to Jefferson Baptist Church.
Parents are especially concerned because it would be located across from Sunshine Elementary School.
But a city traffic engineer says a study shows the business would only add about 400 more cars a day at the intersection.
About 40,000 cars a day go through the intersection right now.
KY3 says the Springfield Planning and Zoning Commission has turned down the project once before.
