Springfield Man Pleads Guilty to 2018 Crime Spree

A Springfield man will be sentenced in August for a crime spree that resulted in the death of another man in 2018.

56-year-old David Bryant pleaded guilty to six felony charges this week including second-degree murder, assault, armed criminal action and sodomy.

On September 18, 2018, police responded to the first scene off East Cherry where they found 29-year-old Ryan Boulanger lying in the road after he was shot. Boulanger later died from injuries.

Police then responded to a second shooting 15 minutes later at the Fairvue Studio off West Norton, and were then called to a residence off West Tampa shortly after.

When officers arrived at the West Tampa scene, Bryant came out shooting at police. No officers were injured and were able to detain Bryant.
