(KTTS News) — Springfield Police say a woman has died after a shooting in the 2600-block of South Glenview.

Police say 42-year-old Ada Hodgkins was from Springfield.

Police have identified a suspect but are still looking for the person.

On May 28, 2022, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the Springfield Police Department was dispatched to 2652 S. Glenview Ave., to investigate a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a female who had suffered a gunshot wound.

The female was transported to a local hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries.

The victim was identified as Ada Hodgkins, 42, from Springfield, Missouri.

Hodgkins’ family has been notified.

A suspect has been identified but has not been located at this time.

Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).

This incident marks Springfield’s seventh homicide in 2022.
