(KTTS News) — State Representative Sara Walsh, who’s from Ashland, is dropping out of the race for Western Missouri’s 4th District Congressional Seat.
The state’s new redistricting map moves Walsh’s home into the 3rd Congressional District.
Walsh says she voted for the changes because she thought it would be better for Missouri.
Walsh lost her husband, Steve Walsh, to COVID.
He was the longtime press aide to Western Missouri Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler.
Hartzler is running for the U.S. Senate.
Walsh had been running for her seat in Congress.
