(KTTS News) — Voters who go to the polls in Barry County on April 5 will be asked to approve a half-cent sales tax increase for law enforcement.
It would raise about $2-million dollars a year for the sheriff’s office, prosecuting attorney, and the juvenile office.
The sheriff says some of the money would go to buy new equipment and raise pay.
KY3 says it would not be used to build a new jail.
