Man In Webster County Sentenced For Wife’s Murder, Putting Body In Freezer

A Webster County man has been sentenced in the death of his wife and putting her body in a freezer inside a storage unit several years ago. 

After pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree murder, Larry Dinwiddie was given 25 years in prison. 

The body of Cynthia Dinwiddie was found in November 2019 in an abandoned storage unit in Marshfield. 

Officers say Dinwiddie was tricked into returning to the storage unit when authorities asked him to fix the freezer. ‘

When Dinwiddie showed up with friends, officers then arrested him at the storage unit. 

The body had been in the freezer since 2015. 

Authorities say Larry Dinwiddie killed his wife with a hammer after an argument.

 KY3 is reporting the state dropped one charge of abandoning a corpse as part of his plea deal.
