Authorities are looking for a prisoner from Gainesville who escaped while at his work release job at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.
Jason Laird, 44, was serving seven years at Tipton Correction Center for burglary, stealing, and tampering with a motor vehicle.
Police say he may have stolen a truck from the MoDOT maintenance shed at the fairgrounds.
KY3 reports Laird was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray pants and black boots.
