The Greene County Clerk says absentee ballots are available today for the upcoming August 3rd election.

Issues for the city of Republic, Walnut Grove school district and Brookline Fire District will be on the ballot and voters in those districts will be the only ones able to cast a ballot.

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announced that absentee ballots will be available tomorrow, June 22nd for those eligible voters who are unable to go to their regular polling place on August 3rd.

Because only the City of Republic, Walnut Grove R-5 School District, and Brookline Fire Protection District have issues appearing on the August 3rd ballot, only registered voters in those districts will be eligible to cast a ballot in the August election.

Eligible registered voters may cast an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office at the Greene County Archives/Elections Center, 1126 N Boonville Ave, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the day before the election, Monday, August 2nd.

Homebound or out-of-town voters may request an absentee ballot by mail, either handwritten or from the fillable application form that can be found the Greene County Clerk’s website. These applications must be signed only by the voters and received in the clerk’s office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday prior to the election, July 21st.

Mailed absentee ballots must be voted, notarized (if applicable), returned by mail, and received in the clerk’s office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Questions about absentee voting should be directed to Schoeller’s office at 868-4060 or to
