The Greene County Sheriff’s Office gets a good rating from the state auditor’s office.
It comes after several whistleblower complaints asked for a state audit of county government.
Those complaints accused the county of illegally using money and employees to try to pass the 2017 county sales tax.
But auditors found no evidence of fraud or misuse of funds related to the tax.
Auditors are still reviewing the county commission.
The auditor’s office did find some some things to improve.
The sheriff’s office says many of the recommendations have been implemented or soon will be.
