Springfield Police have booked a man into the Greene County Jail after the shooting death of a man near Stewart and Delmar.
32-year-old Cody Browning from Springfield is charged with second-degree murder.
Court records say Browning shot Jacob Rowden shot Wednesday night after accusing him of taking his cell phone.
Browning is also charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend after the shooting.

A man is in the Greene County Jail in connection with a deadly shooting near Stewart and Delmar.
KTTS News is not identifying the man because he has not been charged.
Police say Jacob Rowden, 28, was found outside a home Wednesday night.
He died at the hospital.
Rowden had five children.
