The Ozark Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking a vehicle they believe may be connected to a kidnapping.
Officers responded to James River Road in Ozark at 3 p.m. Friday after getting reports of a possible abduction or kidnapping at the scene. Police could find nothing at the location, but witnesses described a light blue Dodge Durango SUV. The SUV had dark wheels and tinted windows and was last seen leaving Ozark, quickly travelling southbound.
Witnesses say a girl screamed “I have been kidnapped” out of the back window before disappearing. She is described as young white girl, between the ages of 8 and 13, with red or strawberry blonde hair.
