Springfield set a new record low Tuesday morning of -13.
The old mark of -5 was set in 1905.
National Weather Service meteorologist Kelsey Angle says it hasn’t been this cold since the early 1900s.
Temperatures are 35 to 45 degrees below normal.
The last time Springfield saw a temperature above freezing was February 6.
Angle says temperatures won’t get above freezing until this weekend when they climb into the 40s.
