Springfield Police have identified the victim of Monday night’s homicide.

Chandler Sweaney from Springfield was found dead after a 911 call about a shooting near Chestnut and Homewood.

He was 23.

A second man was also shot.

His injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Police are still looking for the shooter.

Last night officers were sent to 2808 W. Chestnut St. after two adult males were shot. One is being treated for non-life threatening injuries & the other, identified as Chandler Sweaney, was pronounced dead on scene.

When they arrived, they found one man dead.
