A man is free on bond on house arrest in the beating death of his daughter.

James Mast is charged with endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death.

He’s living with his brother after his four-year-old daughter Jessica was beaten to death last month in Benton County.

Neighbors claimed they were beating a demon out of the girl.

They threatened to shoot the family if they didn’t comply.

Authorities say the beatings had been going on for weeks.

A man charged with endangering his daughter’s welfare before she was beaten to death has been let out on bond.

James Mast was released on $500,000. He is living with his brother and is under house arrest with a GPS monitor.

Mast, 28, is charged with endangering her welfare resulting in death, and endangering her welfare, resulting in injury. Court records say the Mast’s neighbors said they were beating a demon out of the 4-year-old girl and threatened to shoot the family if the parents didn’t comply. James Mast and his wife, Mary Mast, both suffered beatings as well.

Authorities believe the beatings had gone on for several weeks.
