The Highway Patrol says a woman has been arrested after a man from Nebraska was found dead Tuesday morning on Evergreen Road near Strafford.
The woman is in the Webster County jail for leaving the scene of an accident.
Investigators say 40-year-old Traten Sherry’s death is considered suspicious.
Authorities say Sherry worked at a business in the area.

The Highway Patrol says a man from Nebraska found dead on the side of the road near Strafford may have been the victim of a hit and run.
Someone found the man Tuesday morning on Evergreen Road near I-44.
Troopers say the man had his ID, phone and an Ipad with him.
They say he might have been hit in the fog, but they’re not sure.
Troopers are checking video cameras at nearby businesses.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Webster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death on Evergreen road in Webster County.
This morning, around 4:30 a.m., a body was found on Evergreen in front of WCT Farm and Lawn.
Police are unsure if the person died at the scene or if the body was placed there.
