A man found guilty of raping his girlfriend’s daughter could get life in prison.
The Greene County Prosecutor says 44-year-old James Rankin from Ozark was convicted of statutory rape.
The prosecutor says Rankin started sexually assaulting the girl when they lived in Christian County and later raped her where he worked in Springfield.
The girl was 12-years-old when the assaults began and 13-years-old when Rankin raped her.
Rankin was also found to be a predatory sexual offender for crimes in Christian County.
His sentencing is set for March 18.
