CoxHealth says it could start giving its employees the coronavirus vaccine next week.

President and CEO Steve Edwards said on Twitter that Cox will get the Moderna vaccine on Thursday.

If it’s approved for emergency use by the FDA, some employees could start getting the shot as soon as December 21.

Mercy received the Pfizer vaccine and gave shots to some of its workers on Monday.

Vaccine update- We anticipate receiving our first Moderna allotment on Dec 17, prepositioned for possible FDA approval on the 21st, with our first employees vaccinated the evening of Dec 21st.
