SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Police have released the name of a woman killed last weekend as she crossed a Springfield intersection.
Police said in a news release that 39-year-old Marcie Brown, of Springfield, had been crossing Sunshine Street at the intersection with Oxford Street late Saturday night when she was hit by a westbound box truck.
Police say the truck continued traveling west but came back to the scene, a police spokeswoman confirms to KTTS News.
Police say Brown’s death marked Springfield’s 24th fatality motor vehicle crash for 2020.
