Murder charges have been filed after a man was found dead at a vacant business near Glenstone and Seminole in Springfield.
45-year-old Mark Akers is charged with the death of Johnny Pendergrast from Kansas City.
Video shows the men getting into a fight.
Court records say Akers killed Pendergrast with a pipe, dragged his body inside the building, and stole his car.
Pendergrast slept in his car.
His family said he would never loan it to someone.
When Akers was caught with it, he told police that Pendergrast let him borrow it.
