Springfield Public Schools are asking for community input as they begins their nationwide search for a new superintendent.

Dr. John Jungmann, longtime superintendent for Springfield Public Schools will be retiring at the end of the spring semester. He has served 23 years in the position.

Hiring will be done by GR Recruiting.

Community input sessions will be held at the Kraft Administrative Center on St. Louis Street. Meetings will be at 2, 4, and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, the 17th, and again at 7, 8:30, 10 a.m., and 12 p.m. on Wednesday the 18th. Virtual meetings will be at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th, and 2 p.m. on the 18th.

In addition to the meetings, the public is invited to fill out a brief survey. A link to the survey will be sent to staff, students, and parents on November 11th, and must 19th.
