Missouri Highway Patrol Identifies Human Remains as Missing Aurora Man

After over a year waiting for identification, the Missouri Highway Patrol believes they have finally identified the remains found near Aurora.

The remains were found a year and a half ago, in May of 2019, by a mushroom hunter near Delta and Elliot.

The Highway Patrol says they belonged to Jason Artrip, who has been missing for six years. Artrip had lived near where the remains were found, on East Delta, directly across the road.

The cause of death is still unknown.
