Springfield Police have released the name of the woman who was found dead at a home in the 2000-block of East Walnut.

62-year-old Katherine Lear was from Springfield.

Police found her body after getting a call to check on her.

Police say her death is considered suspicious.

Police have not released any details about what they found at the home or in the autopsy.

On Sept. 29, we were dispatched to 2036 E. Walnut. Officers entered the home and located Katherine Lear deceased inside. Evidence found in the home warranted further investigation. Detectives continue to investigate. Anyone w/ info should call 911
