Temperature checks have started Monday at all Springfield-Greene County Park Board family centers.
Staff at Doling Family Center, Dan Kinney and Chesterfield are using a no-contact forehead thermometer to check for fever.
Anyone with a temp of 100.4 or higher won’t be allowed in and may not re-enter the building for 24 hours.
Parks Director Bob Belote says it’s all part of keeping parks and recreation as safe as possible during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We believe checking temperatures is another step in the right direction to help ensure the health and well-being of our family center patrons,” Belote said.
