Springfield-Greene County Health Department will no longer be the agency doing coronavirus contact tracing.
The work of calling those who test positive and finding those who that patient was in contact with will be done by Maximus Federal Services.
The health department is paying for the service with their own funds, but expects a grant from the federal government to compensate.
Maximus is performing this service in several states already. The health department will use the freed resources to concentrate on other areas of importance.
