The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says the K9 unit Athos is retiring to live with his handler.
The German Shepherd began his service in 2015 and has served for 5 years.
Recently he had an injury and despite efforts to rehabilitate him he couldn’t be completely healed. He will go to live as a family dog with his handler, Deputy Morgan Rudderham.
