Missouri State’s COVID-19 quarantine dorm is starting to fill up after a week of classes.
The dorm can hold up to 73 students and already has 57 staying there.
Missouri State is renting the Q Hotel on St. Louis Street, which will provide an additional 140 beds for students who must self-isolate.
MSU reported an additional 18 students who were recently on campus have tested positive for COVID-19 after reporting 141 last week.
The university says if more housing for students is needed, there are other spaces MSU intends to rent out as well.
