After mainly dry weather on Monday, our rain chances in the Ozarks increase Tuesday, with scattered storms and some cloud to ground lightning.
The National Weather Service says the remnants of Hurricane Laura could track into the area Thursday night into Friday, with widespread showers and storms.
Forecasters say there’s still some uncertainty on the exact track and timing of the system, which will impact rainfall amounts.
Right now, it looks like the best bet for heavy rain will be across southern Missouri into the eastern Ozarks.
