Two new facilities resulting from Proposition S projects in the Springfield Public School District have opened today as classes are underway.
Delaware Elementary opened its new building, designed to accommodate students of all abilities.
The school features wider hallways for those who use assistant devices to travel throughout the school. Another new part is its all-inclusive playground equipment.
The Adah Fullbright early childhood center has opened with similar new features.
The $168 million dollar bond was passed by voters and paid for improvement projects at more than 35 schools in the district.
Other projects are close to completion including Sunshine Elementary, which is scheduled to open in October.
