Ozark Board Of Aldermen Fails To Get Enough Votes To Pass Masking Ordinance

There will be no mandatory masking in the city of Ozark.

The Board of Aldermen Monday night voted 3-2 in favor of a masking ordinance, with Alderman Jason Shaffer abstaining.

The ordinance needed four yes votes to pass.

Board members voted without any further discussion.

At the board meeting on August 10th, a number of people spoke both in favor and asking requiring folks in the city to wear masks in public places.

That meeting lasted about four and a half hours.
