Police say no one is hurt after an exchange of gunfire in traffic Thursday morning at the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Walnut in Springfield.
Officers say someone in a Gold Acura stopped their car and fired several shots at a maroon SUV. One bullet hit a third vehicle.
Witnesses say the driver of the SUV returned fire.
The incident happened around 7:30 a.m.
Police say several shell casings were found in the area.
Officers admit they don’t have a good description of either the Acura or the SUV, so if you were in the area this morning and saw something, you’re asked to call Springfield police.
