It will be another week before Ozark’s Board of Aldermen votes on a mandatory masking ordinance.
Monday’s board meeting lasted about four and a half hours, with a number of people speaking both for and against masking in public.
Board members will have a second reading on the ordinance August 17th, then vote without any further public comment.
City leaders recently collected responses from the community in a survey on the possibility of a masking ordinance, with questions on how people would feel about a mandatory order in indoor and outdoor public spaces.
