Part of the Greene County Jail has been locked down after an inmate tested positive for COVID-19.
The sheriff’s office became concerned after three former inmates who were transferred to the Department of Corrections tested positive for COVID-19.
More than 760 Greene County Jail inmates were then tested and a current inmate tested positive.
Every inmate has been issued a mask.
The sheriff’s office says medical staff will keep screening the inmates and all new arrests brought to the jail.
