The Christian County Health Department is reporting its first death related to COVID-19.
The health department says the woman was in her 60s and was hospitalized.
Health officials also say they have confirmed two new cases of the coronavirus. The first case is linked to a cluster of cases being investigated by another county.
The second cases is considered a case of community spread.
Both cases are quarantined at home.
There are no community exposures related to these two cases.
The health department is also notifying the public about potential community exposures related to five COVID-19 positive individuals being investigated by another health department.
All five visited Lambert’s Cafe in Ozark on June 14th.
Four visited the restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The health department says the four were infectious, not showing symptoms and none wore a mask.
The fifth went to Lambert’s from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The person was symptomatic, infectious and also did not wear a mask.
Anyone who was at the restaurant at those times is being told to monitor for symptoms.
The health department is currently monitoring 10 active cases.
