A tax levy increase for the Cedar County Memorial Hospital has failed for the third time in a row.
The hospital serves an estimated population of just over 14,000 people.
Voters have said no in a vote of just under 2 to 1. In addition to not seeing a tax levy increase since 1960, the hospital ran a deficit of 1.5 million in 2019.
