ST. LOUIS (St. Louis Post-Dispatch) — Police in St. Louis say a man shot a 7-year-old boy in the leg after catching him and two older boys burglarizing his home.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that police say the three children climbed through a window of the St. Louis Place neighborhood home Tuesday night and were confronted by its 23-year-old resident.
Police say the man fired one shot in the direction of the boys, hitting the 7-year-old in a leg.
Police say a 12-year-old boy was hit in the wrist by a bullet fragment or debris, while the other 12-year-old wasn’t hurt.
The injured boys were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police didn’t say if anyone involved would be charged.
